Who I am

I am a writer and editor with digital and print bylines in such publications as The NY Times, Self magazine, Bustle, and Reductress. As a writing coach, I am proud to have worked with clients to get accepted and receive merit scholarships at such schools as Lehigh, Rice, SUNY Binghamton (Scholars program), U Wisconsin @ Madison, and George Washington University.I coach students through the Common App essay process, and any supplemental writing pieces specific schools require. MY STYLE

How I Help Writers

I have a specific niche in the higher education application process where I excel: shaping compelling stories in the first person. My experience as a creative executive in Big Media (Disney, AMC, A&E), a copywriter for distinguished brands (Delta, Mars, GoldieBlox), and a published essayist (The NY Times, Bustle, Self) positions me uniquely well to coach clients applying to college and grad school. My specialty is working with teens and early careerists, as I have served for many years as a writing mentor of young people at non-profits such as Girls Write Now, the Children’s Media Association, and the Hollywood Radio & TV Society, coaching mentees through creative, personal essay, and academic writing projects.
